Been working a lot on the haori! Check my scraps for current pics. I have a birthday party to go to that I don't want to go to, I still have too much to finish and not enough time. T-T My consolation is I have 3 full sets of shihakushou, so I can grab something to take with me if I don't finish. The obi though, I have to do, and I'd like avoid wearing the same arm-warmers I had purchased for Yoruichi.

Yep, I just finished the Kenshin costume. I have a bad habit of forgetting to make the easy stuff, usually the obi. Luckily I had at least once remembered I would need it, and pre-cut the fabric for it. I thought I was finished earlier today, then got ready to take pics of it and realized I didn't have an obi for it, went digging for the leftover white, and found the right length and width cut and folded on top. So, pics will be up soon and it goes into the mail tomorrow. W00t! And I'm starting on my haori as soon as I finish shooting the costume. 3 sewing days left until I leave for A-kon. I should be able to finish the haori by the end of

I finished up the lighter-weight hakama for Kenshin on Sunday at WitchyElphaba (https://www.deviantart.com/witchyelphaba)'s house. This week I have the lighter weight maroon kosode and an obi to do, then I can start on my own hakama for Soifon. It's getting so close!! I also bought the material for my haori, I am making a while new one instead of just altering my Yoruichi one. I'm gonna try to have both my hakama and haori finished this week, as well as the arm-warmer thingies, then next Sunday work on my top.
